W.O.W. #20 – Possibilities

WOW is right! I just realized that I’ve been posting my “Words on Wednesday for 20 straight weeks! That’s also about how long I’ve lived in Alamosa. What a few months it has been. My perspective on life and love and work and play has changed drastically over the past few months. I can honestly say finally, that I really love living in a small town, slowing down the pace of life and truly appreciating time and talks and walks with family and friends. I’ve also been continually striving to of create my own successes no matter what the barriers are – whether that be adapting to a new workout schedule (and place, and style and buddies) or building a career. I’m excited about what the future holds here and I am ready to knock down whatever limitations present themselves.

“Never say that you can’t do something, or that something seems impossible, or that something can’t be done, no matter how discouraging or harrowing it may be; human beings are limited only by what we allow ourselves to be limited by: our own minds. We are each the masters of our own reality; when we become self-aware to this: absolutely anything in the world is possible.” – Mike Norton

What are your “impossibles”? How can you change your mind set to make them possible?

W.O.W. #9 – Perspective

Photo May 26, 9 39 28 AM - Copy-001This past week I had the opportunity to meet several artists who spent a week at our ranch creating amazing paintings, sketches, photography and other art. I’m not very connected in the art-world, but it was truly fascinating to see the products of just a few hours and a dose of inspiration. I was continually amazed by how each artist would take the same landscape, the same horses or the same people and portray them completely differently.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about perspective. We all look at things from a different angle – and that really depicts how we view our life. I heard this quote and it really got me thinking about taking a step back from your own little world and take it from a different angle. Who knows what kind of masterpiece you might find!

“Winners have the ability to step back from the canvas of their lives like an artist gaining perspective. They make their lives a work of art – an individual masterpiece.”
Denis Waitley

Happy Wednesday 🙂
